Fire Survival Cable
“POLYCORE” make 1.1 KV – Circular Stranded Sector Shaped Annealed Bare Copper Conductor Class – 2, Multistrand , Glass Mica Tape wrapped over the conductor, XLPE Insulated , ST 2 Extruded PVC inner Sheathed, Armoured, with overall FRLS outer sheathed, Fire Survival Cable.
FS cables are used for fire alarm systems for maintaining circuit integrity during any fire accident.
SPECIFICATIONS (Fire Survival Cable)
i. Cables shall maintain circuit integrity in a fire and to ensure maximum safe evacuation of personnel with no detrimental effects like toxic gases or smoke.
ii. Cables shall be made of high electrolytic grade copper.
iii. Cables shall follow IEC 60331; BS 6387: BS 8491: BS 8434/2
iv. The cable shall be Category “C” type cable tested for 950 degree C for 3 hours.
v. Cable shall be resistant to fire with water (Class W) and Resistance to fire with mechanical shock (Class Z)
